I can relate

Mehdi,

I can relate to you incredibly well.  I am also 22, and a recent college grad.  My parents were generous enough to give me a watch as a gift, and I elected to get a Type XX Transatlantique, for many of the same reasons you listed.  I, too, know plenty of people with Rolex's, Panerai, Hublot, etc.,  Not to demean those brands, but they were not for me.  I enjoy people asking about my watch, and I enjoy explaining some of the history and prestige associated with the brand.  Needless to say, I am very pleased with my decision, and recommend you go and try a lot of brands/models.  I was fortunate enough to visit many fine ADs and Boutiques before I made my decision, so I knew without question that it was the right choice for me.

Whatever you decide, wear it and enjoy it in good health.

Jon

Hi Medhi, You asked for advice.... My advice is as follows, and for the following reasons. Firstly, if you buy a Breguet and it breaks down, and it is your only good watch... then on Breguet's current service and repair history, you need to be prepared to...

Rolexes are great and I own one for 15 years and sold it for more than I bought it in excellent working condition. Now if you want to be a little bit different take a look to the Royal Oak offshore series. This being said I have two Breguet and they work ...

Bill, Which marine model is that? The designation on the dial doesn't appear to match anything in Breguet's current catalog. Regards, Chris

This is the Marine 5817

Hi Chris I am pretty sure this model Breguet Marine 5817 "Big Date" in SS is still in the current line up but if not is should be easy to get through most AD's. This is a super watch sporty and dressy at about 39mm on the dial but the big lugs and awesome...
