A. Lange & Söhne: Not at all. A PLM is a PLM in any variant. Black has class.

I was not as upset as many other PLM owners when they launched the black version since the dial is the clear differentiator on the original and makes for a very different watch. But the movement is the movement and there are times one would choose to wear the enamel and times one would choose black.

A. Lange & Söhne: RG owner here

It is a fantastic superlative watch, to handle, wind, admire front and back and of course, wear. I had no issue with the subsequent release of the WG, black (non-enamel) dial version but, put simply, I would not have purchased my PLM if it did not have the enamel dial as for me it completes the pack

TimeOut: One of my favourite places in the world

I have had many pieces on display there, particularly this exhibition where we had all the Rene Lalique Mascots from the 1920s and 1930s www.musee-lalique.com www.rlaliquemascots.com A beautiful part of the world in all four seasons as well. Thanks for the great pictures
