elegance for me is through the subtle appearance of the watch. The more you look at it the more beautiful and appealing it becomes. You do not get tired of it. That is always my goal in buying a dress watch and of course a Patek dress watch.
Enjoy it well I am sure it will grow on you in years to come.

The most elegant Pateks?

Elegance is of course in the eye of the beholder. For some, watches with multiple complications constitute a form of elegance. For others, elegance means a somewhat minimalist dress-watch, now somewhat back in fashion. For all of us, I imagine there can b...

"Elegance is in the eye of the beholder"

True. For me I would try not to confuse "elegance " and "classicism". I'm not a classic Patek afiscionados and the most elegant Patek is for me the 5711. Style, discretion, thinness... some ingredient I would put in "elegance". Your watch is of course a f...

I can only say +1 Mark

to all that you said except that line about 5711 as most elegant ;) but that only shows your title sentence as correct one Sincerely D

Thanks Damjan!

For me the most elegant Patek in the current collection is the 5153G. From photos, it looks quite ordinary but when you see it in reality, you will be able to appreciate the guilloche dial and the perfect case size. I totally agree that the 3960 is a very...

Many thanks to you, and to others who have posted. I do take the point that elegance is not the same thing as classicism, in the sense that elegance can be found in completely unexpected forms. However, I would suggest that elegance in a wristwatch embodi...

Love the Breguet hands Breguet numerals combo

 By: alphabeta81 : March 17th, 2014-06:44
I think that applied Breguet numerals look nicer though (like in the 3842P). For me the most elegant PP is the 5120G -- the sparkling bezel, simple time only, with the lovely 240 movement seen through the back. Ultimate elegance!

You have selected a beautiful watch!

It's very difficult to find the right term or phrase to describe your own feelings about such a personal object which others may understand in the same manner as you. Whether classic, elegant, iconic, etc., they all fit for you and that has been the uniqu...

Thank you once again

Pocket watch

 By: Tonypatch : January 6th, 2015-06:01
Well, it looks like a converted pocket watch ( in a good way) and also uses a lot of ancient Breguet styling features. Didnt Breguet have a model which also utilized a white dial and painted-on Italic numbers? 5140 Classique?
