GoS Gustafsson and Sjögren new watch crowns it all
Dear Forumners,
You may remember the GoS Winter Nights for PuristS watches from last year, as the first production series with the world's first manual wind movement with Damascus steel mainplates.
I gather a couple may still be available from the original series.....check out our market place page.
NEW for 2014: NORDIC SEASONS GOLD
Now, they have announced the 'Nordic Seasons Gold' version shown below.
The 2-tone iteration is very nice and all that but the important thing for me is something small but significant.....
Did you notice the new crown that Johan Gustafsson has developed?
It now matches the colour of the case in forged Damascus steel; previously, due to technical reasons, the crowns were a little darker in colour.
They also apply file-work to get the serrated edge for grip in winding.
One of the technical reasons was certain alloys lacked sufficient coefficient of friction for human grip....
Hand-made really means hand made......
