Laurent Ferrier Galet

Mar 25, 2015,16:47 PM

I visited my AD in Singapore this week to look at some indie watches and was introduced to Laurent Ferrier Galets. Beautiful watch! The movement finishing with that beautiful (and highly efficient I heard) micro rotor, the "pebble" case (really elegant with nice curves and smoothness everywhere) and the dial and hands are all very classical and looks / feels extremely high end. It's like the most high end simple 3 hand watch one can touch and feel!

The price is of course very high for such a watch and I can't help but feel this is truly for the few who can appreciate the beauty of a Laurent Ferrier.

Some iphone shots here to share. I saw the rose gold light grey dial version, a white gold black dial and a white gold light grey dial. The most sexy one to me is the white gold black dial although it's not very readable on the dial.

Keen to hear your thoughts about this brand and the Galet smile

Cheers
Robin

As you mentioned the price is not indifferent so, while I love it, I think that I won't get one for the time being. It might be too simple (but gorgeous) for the price ..may be a tad too classic like a Patek Calatrava but without the heritage and with a m...

Agree with you Christian

and when it was introduced it was very good value for the money. Today I still like the watch a lot, but feel like you Robin - very high for such a watch. Increases ... exchange rates ... Once more, I havenĀ“t been quick enough :-( Cheers, Oliver

I am also worried about price increases lol Cheers Robin

For me personally

The watch has amazing finishing and one might argue it arguably is the best finished automatic three handed watch in the market. It is also priced below Kari Voutilainen's Vingt 8 which is manual winding but Kari's finishing is second to none and also the...

Good comparisons Sham!

I understand you spent a very nice time in your boutique! I could handle several LF too. I love their elegance and quite personal style. And I love the movement finishing, shapes and technical characteristics (double impulse escapement). The micro-rotor a...
