AHCI stands for Academie Horlogere Des Createurs Independants, or The Horology Academy of Independent Watchmakers. The AHCI was started by founding fathers Vincent Calabrese and Svend Andersen in 1985 with the intent of preserving and encouraging the pure art and craft of mechanical watchmaking.
By participating in this forum, you represent that you have thoroughly read and agree to abide by PuristSPro.com forum code of conduct.
Being one who aspires to the level of craftsmanship, innovation and commitment demonstrated by the AHCI and independent haute horlogerie; it is my honor and pleasure to moderate the only forum dedicated to these inspired watch and clock makers.
Not only will we showcase the talents of these individuals, we shall indulge our horological passions, thirst for knowledge and higher understanding in exploring the technical and historical depths of this art, science and craft.
I trust this forum will prove a service to the newbie & old-timer; amateur & professional; admirer & Academy member equally, as we engage in debate and the uninhibited sharing of thoughts and ideas with civility and good nature.
Cheers,
François-Xavier "foversta" Overstake w/ email link of FrancoisX@PuristSPro.com Don Corson
