De Bethune : a lot of pics

As Nico told you in the previous posts, we visited together the Chronopassion shop in Paris to see the current collection from De Bethune.

I must confess I'm a great fan of the work of Denis Flageollet and I believe that  De Bethune is an excellent context  for the duo Zanetta-Flageollet. They can develop their ideas and innovate.

Each De Betune watch has :

- great finishings
- in-house calibers with several very innovative features
- very specific design
- an use of new materials

The following pics were taken with Nico yesterday but also at the Salon Belles Montres several months ago :

My fav one, the DB 15 :

This watch has the specific moonphases from DB and a power reserve of 5 days.

Look at the shape of the hands in order to run over the moon :

The caliber is beautiful.

The balance wheel is made of titanium and platinum.

The usual wrist-shot : perfect !

With the Digitale :

The Digitale is very inspired by watches from the past but it has its own charm too.

Of course, the case, the lugs are very in the DB's style !

Where is the moonphase ?

Easy to answer ! If it's not on the dial, it's on the back !

The DB 20 Qi : You will notice the horizontal power reserve indicator.

With the DB 22 :

The DB 22 has a beautiful titanium dial, titanium&steel hands :

The rotor is made of titanium&platinum. Look at the triple shock protection system in the balance bridge :

An overall view of the watches with the DBS :

The DBS is a very interesting watch. It's maybe the most innovative watch from DB.

First of all, the dial is totally open :

But the main feature of the watch is the ability to control the speed (and so the efficiency)  of the winding system.

The technology used is different from the system used by Urwerk in the 202 (with the turbines). But it's impressive too.

You can control the speed through the crown. The efficiency is displayed at the back of the watch :

Well, in a few words, De Bethune is a brand which deserves a close look from all the watches lovers.

Thanks again to Arnaud from Chronopassion for the time he spent with us !

Fr.Xavier

with the same watches a few days ago. I really liked the DB24 with the adjustable winding. The weight was great with a titanium case. The winding efficiency could be adjusted from the crown. From the back you could see a little cam that lifted 3 different...

Your pictures confirm to me that De Bethune timepieces continue to exude total class. I bought a DB5 several years ago when I first discovered De Bethune and I am always amazed at the finish of the movement (in this case a reworked vintage movement). The ...
