Baselworld 2009 - Confrerie Horlogere, engraving by Gabriel Salgado De Arce

Apr 10, 2009,06:13 AM

More about the Confrerie Horlogere coming up soon.
But to whet your interest a few pictures.
You know that I never use pictures I didn't take myself, to show what I have seen, not what others wish us to see.
But this time I am making an exception and because I have seen, I know that my pictures just didn't do justice.
So here it is, a watch movement with engraving by Gabriel Salgado De Arce, member of the Confrerie Horlogere,
or maybe better, an engraved piece of art that is incidentally a watch movement, the ImmenSEAty.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing. I would say he gives the movements a very natural approach, as in nature. Life under the sea Regards

I saw photos of them either online or in a watch publication recently, and was impressed by the level of detail that the engraver is able to put forth. The different levels of engraving in the movement give you the feel of looking into an actual reef. Rem...

Most impressive... [nt]
