Heritage Watch Manufactory at the GTE 2011
Jan 21, 2011,10:03 AM
A new brand, showing here at the GTE for the first time, is the Heritage Watch Manufactory. This brand which has been instigated by some German watch collectors has set up its shop in the heart of Swiss watchmaking country, Neuchâtel. They are presenting two watches with 2 different calibers from Karsten Frässdorf, who was the genie behind the Fabrication De Montres Normandes. Karsten has been off the screen for the last two years, as he says because of an intellectual property dispute with one of his former clients. This dispute has been decided in his favor and he is now the technical brains behind the Heritage Watch Manufactory.
The case and dial designs of the Tensus and Magnus models were made by the well known watch designer Eric Giroud. The caliber 880 incudes Karsten Frässdorfs famous 3 anchor, 2 escapement wheel constant force design.
