Luminosity...

This was a gift (yes I know...I should be extremely thankful).  I've always had my eye on Muhle Glashutte and the SAR Rescue Timer, and I am finally able to handle one in real life.  I was told many times that the watch is magnificently luminous, so here it is...


As you can see, this one is on a rubber strap with a metal buckle.  Very sturdy, and does anyone know why the rubber smells like vanilla?  Selitta SW 200-1 movement modified, and decorated by Muhle Glashutte.  Interchangeable rubber bezel that helps protect the case from knocks, and a thick crystal with a reverse cyclops for magnification of the date which maintains the crystal flat and therefore reduces its exposure to damage.

Mine says "hello" :-) The rubber has a vanilia scent because the Italian manufacture mixes vanilia into the rubber mixture. And a good thing they do...WAY better than raw rubber scent! Enjoy! -- Richard. ...

Mystery solved...I wonder why Vanilla and not another scent. But good to know. Someone once hinted to me that it is usually associated with higher quality rubber straps.
