with the current economic climate, I can only buy one or two maximum.

Dec 10, 2012,08:58 AM

Due to Horo's influence, will be looking to buy my first Lange. Looking at Saxonia Annual Calender or 1815 Chronograph. That will be a priority. And if I don't lose my job, perhaps a Independent that is reasonable price like Habring, which many people here like. And if I can trade my panerai without losing too much money, I will look at PAM 372.and if I strike lottery ToTo, I will buy a Lange Datograph.

Wish-list for 2013....

 By: Baron - Mr Red : December 9th, 2012-07:58
My watch collection is like Swiss cheese....full of holes. I sit here contemplating what watches are on my wish-list and why some watches seem to stay on my wish-list for so long. It is a bit like being awarded "most promising actor" year after year after...

We live in the middle of recession

 By: dr.kol : December 9th, 2012-08:11
and thus I'm very modest: 1. Patek 5131G 2. For my wife a new Patek for her 26th birthday. This watch I have reserved already 3. Perhaps something introduced in SIHH 2013 4. Perhaps something introduced in Baselworld 2013 5. The new 40th Anniversary Royal...

well...

 By: Baron - Mr Red : December 9th, 2012-08:14
....i did say "wish" list rather than firm decision! So you can put 5 without guilt!!

I could do it if you can tell me

 By: dr.kol : December 9th, 2012-08:35
what is the difference between WISH and DREAM. My list was wish with a lot of realism. Numbers 3, 4 and 5 represented wishes while #1 and #2 are taking all the cash I can place for watches. Probly even a bit more. Best, Kari

I would be very happy if I could succeed in catching the following specimens...

 By: amanico : December 9th, 2012-08:37
1/ Polaris II Red Dial because it is not the most beautiful watch on Earth, but it is the only one I miss to close my Vintage JLC Diving Watches collection. 2/ One of the 4 or 5 Vintage Fifty Fathoms I still hunt, for the same reason than for the Polaris ...

I agree. A steel Patek would be nice for me as well.

 By: TdotBean : December 9th, 2012-09:45
Let's hope 2013 would be a good patek year. I would love an antimagnetic patek. Regard Tyler

Hmmmm????

 By: amanico : December 9th, 2012-09:49
You " WOULD " love an amagneitc Patek??? ;) Best, Nicolas

Yes. One that comes with 27-400 AMG movement ;)

I may have to borrow some ideas from your list

 By: Bill : December 9th, 2012-09:01
AP Royal Oak series A, B or C Rolex 5512 gilt dial...probably 2-line (that base is covered and I will keep an eye out for you) From modern AP Royal Oak tribute.

I must admit that the idea to get one crossed my mind more than once.

 By: amanico : December 9th, 2012-09:23
But I was more thnking about a 1675 SYL.... ;) Best, Nicolas

Hello Bill, isn't strange, let say bizarre that....

 By: Sandgroper : December 10th, 2012-04:44
for so long, the AP Royal Oak has been relegated to second or worst! to the PP Nautilus? And now there is so much interest in the RO "A, B or C" ? So many people, now, seem to really like the original AP RO, how come? Do you think that if the original RO ...

For me I tried on the watch - Nico knows it

 By: Bill : December 10th, 2012-08:07
The AP RO (a,b or c) is thin, graceful while still being masculine. It just seems like it is a watch that could find itself in rotation. Watches as investments .... watches you can enjoy yes.... Love to see some pictures. Best Bill

As soon as the watch is back from AP I'll send some pictures.

 By: Sandgroper : December 10th, 2012-16:25
Kind regards. Francois

Golden Memories... Evilish, should I say...

From your car, Bill, with your town as a background... Best, Vlad. ...

Don t do that to me Nico...

 By: moc : December 11th, 2012-01:26
i am on a RO trip lately.....obsessed. which way to go though?5402,jubilee,new anniversary? All of them? mo

I would seriously consider the 5402.

 By: amanico : December 11th, 2012-01:28
But greediness is our speciality, not to say virtue, so why not all of these 3? ;) Best, Nicolas.

Ha ha ha ,because I have several thing to fund:)

 By: moc : December 11th, 2012-01:32
5402 is such a delicate territory....need a lot of luck and to watch out for them sellers...plus all the bracelet parts are finished at AP and really need to find a very good condition days they can go for $100,000!!!!:) Mo

 By: moc : December 9th, 2012-10:39

Hey Mo.....

 By: Baron - Mr Red : December 9th, 2012-10:47
I liked the way you defined it. That Red Reverso is creeping into a few wish lists.

The red madness is getting there indeed..

 By: moc : December 11th, 2012-01:14
very nice of you....I agree on the ZW luminous but 2 cons;unfindable, too expensive(for what it is and for its collect ability). But could it be worth the extra effort?depends on the live experience which sadly......I havent proved yet. Cheers Mo

Hope you will find an opportunity to try it

 By: cisco : December 11th, 2012-04:18

Tough to cut the list down!

 By: Gary G : December 9th, 2012-17:47

Lots of potential "Hertz" jokes out there, Art... Best, Gary

Realistic . . .

 By: Dr No : December 9th, 2012-23:46
. . . would be a vintage Omega of interest; a military specimen would be nice. Not so realistic, but still highly desired, and done deal if at all possible: G O 1845 Karree, GS SBGW035, Omega 1894 Homage. Unrealistic, yet maddeningly tantalizing: Dornblüt...

Very nice list, my friend! I hope you will get at least some of them next year! Well, as you know I am a simple man with simple wishes... 1. Highest on my list would be the icon of both Jaeger-LeCoultre and the Memovox - JLC Polaris 68 - the original of c...

 By: amanico : December 11th, 2012-15:25
The 2 Zeniths, the Damn JLC Memo WT Ref 3160, another Geophysic, but the cross hair dial in my case, and a nice Omega Speedie... 2998 if I can't grab a 2915... As for the modern list, wait to see what JLC will unveil, I think there is something for you......

great list

 By: RDL : December 12th, 2012-10:21
Blomman, great list! BTW: I would actually forego the 5 from my list for an original Blancpain Air-Command (so elusive that I forgot about it)

I think so...

moving on to the 30ch now, especially the early types with lozenge markers and dauphine hands.... Also eying Angelus Chronodatos and other less known 37-38mm case chronographs. Not yet 2013 but I'm already smelling blood... Z'
