Horological Meandering: Strap changing tool for gold watches?

Searching for a strap changing tool recently, all of the ones I've seen appear to have steel tips. I would have assumed there would be tools with softer tips for gold watches to avoid scratches? What do you all use for changing a strap on a gold watch?

TimeOut: Agreed that tuition costs in the US are out of hand...

As others have said, I think the importance of the school can be very field dependent. You could consider gifting part or all of the tuition difference to your son if he chose University of Toronto as an incentive.
