Jaeger-LeCoultre: 91 to 98 indeed !

Had the extraordinary chance of entering JLC on August 1st 1991. Henry-John Belmont had just created the Product Manager position, and I was extremely lucky to land that as my first job after university. I did not therefore work on the first piece, the 60th Anniversary which signalled the first "Gra

Horological Meandering: No tools for Flying Panda !

Hi Fernando. Thanks for the report ! No need for any tools to remove and place back the Flying Panda on the HM4 Only watch. All can be done pretty easily with two fingers ! I would suppose that the Antiquorum team were a little nervous to try... Wishing all the very best to all the brands who worked

Independents: The "why" is often as important as the "what"

Good point Horo ! In fact I had a pair of those crafted initially in 2008 for myself - Thought they complemented our HM1 and HM2 very well. But then, when I travelled around the world many people wanted to have the same. So, even though indeed it is not our goal to manufacture cufflinks, we had thos

Hi Arthur, We finally never crafted more than 50 to 60 pieces of each gold HM2 (whatever dial variation - even though it was engraved limited edition 125 pieces) and did not either craft more than 25 of each Ceramic version (and there was only one dial). These two last SV versions will be for the ma

Horological Meandering: Good grief !

I have never seen this film and will try to see it asap ! Clearly our HM2 was influenced by the Sci-Fi I saw as a youth (remember Space 1999 ?). I see HM2 as a space platform where each dome protects life... Thanks for pointing out Equilibrium ! Max

Independents: Progressive unveiling...

Following a few comments on "teasers" in this Forum, allow me a few words. When I follow a brand, I like the intellectual challenge of wondering what their next piece will be. Take what Urwerk just posted on what seems to be called Tornado. I love to get that info three months before launch and wond

Independents: WOW ! Am so jealous...

Congratulations ! There are few pieces in the horological world which make my heart beat much faster. The H1 and H2 are like a shot of adrenaline... Just looking at the photo makes me swallow hard !

Independents: Very true - but we had to change the sequence

Hi Marc, First of all, thanks to everyone for the heartwarming praise ! The whole team at MB&F has put incredible efforts and passion to create this new addition to the family. And by the way, even if I say so, it is truly very easy to wear ! (wrist shots will follow our first dinner with collectors
