Would appreciate some advice.

Have the option to obtain one. Have seen it in the flesh twice....v nice face but odd case design given the mall size of the movement. I am keen on a simple dress watch as I no longer own the 5127 and 5296.

is a fantastic Calatrava having a clear Patek DNA. It has a very different case construction compared with other Calatravas and both the dial and the profile of the watch look very good. It's often complained that cal. 215 is too small... It is both slim ...

The decision is entirely yours :) But may I ask why you moved on the 5127R? As, personally, either the 5127R or 5107R would be my natural choice. And should I ever get another classic Patek, it would most surely be one of those. :) Regards Tony

To me it shows some very nice details and a good solution to show the small movement in a proper way. Kari already made some good points and I just wanted to add some "views". To me it is a very classical PP, but with some additional spice in the details....

Appreciate feedback so far. Sold 5127r in a moment of stupidity. Is it too loud in your opinion.

After wearing a Breitling Chronomat daily for 20 years, my daughter asked if she could have it. I sent it in to Breitling for its fourth service and researched a new watch for the next 20 years. I decided that it would be a PP,AP,VC or ALS. I visited all ...

and I am mesmerized by the beauty of the watch movement captured in the picture. Clearly manual winding. Just want to know if this watch is round. The picture on Patek site portrays it as slightly oval. Could be an illusion but round or oval ? Thanks for ...

The latest attempt by Patek to try to convince you that the movement is not just ridiculously too small for the case. A 38mm case with the phenomenally diminutive 215? I'll give them a pass with the 5919 and its 36 mm case, and at least the designers at P...

"Odd"

Well, the case looks as if it could easily get stuck with the shirt's cuff, mainly due to its weirdly shaped underside. I prefer my watches to disappear under the cuff, so this would be a major drawback. I also think that there is something wrong with the...

Not my preference!

The watch is very elegant looking as I saw it earlier this year at my AD; the case shape is very odd which I did not find to my liking; from the back it has a tapering design towards the periphery which gives it an odd "winged" look. I would pick 5127 han...
