5270P

I own 4 Patek references. At first glance new release of 5270P is impressive and wanted to buy it.. But I think it is just a marketing ploy. Looks like Patek is running out of ideas. Just recycling the old combinations. The dial is not even aesthetically balanced. The 2 little rectangular markers at 3 and 9 and square markers at 4,5,7 and 8 similar to R version released in 2015. Now arabic numerals at 12,1,2,10 and 11 are used instead of stick markers. The circle forming the date numbers cuts of the bigger circle at the rim. The whole composition is so busy. ..not in keeping with simplicity, elegance and aesthetically pleasing dial designs of the past. The diameter is 41mm which a bit big. Use of same caliber movement. But I am sure Patek will put out limited numbers making it a sought after reference as salmon color dial and platinum case is a sought after combination.

Curious that PP matched the background color in the day & month windows to the dial color on the RG/black version but not on the Pt/salmon. I know past salmon PCCs have had the white windows but it would have been nice to see a synch-up now.
Beautiful watch.

Love the salmon dial. Agree with Nico on the two holes, maybe it would look better with another solution. Thanks. Vte

I think the 1mm looks bigger than it is because the 5970 has a concave bezel which is fairly wide (but hidden well) making for a smaller dial size than the 5270. I like the 5270P and if I had the money would buy it immediately. But, it does not sing out a...
