I have always found the Roger Dubuis Excalibur a fascinating watch with a very bold design. It's also very well finished and built too. One of my PuristS Singapore friends has the previous version which he absolutely adores! Unfortunately, the Excaliburs ...

Thanks Thomas!

I think the Excaliburs all look very outstanding on the wrist! Very bold designs. Cheers Robin

I know I am asking for an inflation of references...

but I would love to see - a 38mm version with a sub seconds at 6 o'clock. That would combine a perfectly symmetric dial with a very appropriate (and dare I say?) sexy size. You have done a great job in covering the Excalibur! Cheers, Magnus

A 38mm would have been perfect !

agree Magnus! I think a 38mm version would have been perfect for gents with small wrists. Ladies might like 38mm too as the Excaliburs' bold dials suit a tad bigger in size design wise Cheers Robin

The ideal Excalibur size and dial is not yet invented.....

Robin, I agree that the seconds sub dial is more balanced at 6 o'clock position. Actually, both 36 and 42 mm look OK on your wrist. You must get away from WAS (wristsize anxiety syndrome); it does not matter what size of watch is on your wrist because you...

Ideal? DANGEROUSLY ideal! [nt]

Just saw another Purist post his 39mm version

Now that is ideal too! Will check out his pics in more details Cheers Robin

I indeed suffer from WAS!

very observant of you MTF! I have this WAS problem for AP ROs, Chopards, Montblancs/JLCs and now Roger Dubuis too! The thing is my group of PuristS friends in Singapore have been commenting my watches tend to be a tad big for me and that had affected my c...

Padawan, Are you wearing and enjoying your watches? Are the watches for you or for your so-called 'friends'? Look to the Force....of your Passion before other Opinion or Information. Regards, MTF (One who has Angst before) ...

Lol MTF!

The force is indeed strong with you Jedi Master! Agree. I should listen to my heart more Cheers Robin

I am all for 36!

The era of "big watch" is ending (I hope!). Let's remember the days of "36mm fits me well" - the smaller the movement is, the more difficult to make it! Thanks for a very meaningful comparison, Robin! Nice work, Roger Dubuis!! Ken

Thanks Ken!

You are right. 36mm is good for us actually. Anyway the Excalibur wears big even at 36mm with its thin bezel and bold dial design Cheers Robin

Thanks a lot Robin for your report!

36mm is definitively too small for my taste and taking into account the RD style. I'm a great fan of the Excalibur 42. Fx

Thanks Fx for your inputs!

Indeed the 36mm looks nicely fitted on my small wrist Very glad Roger Dubuis came up with unisex sizes. I think other brands can do more of this too. Cheers Robin
