Baselworld 2009 - Lang & Heyne

Apr 01, 2009,08:26 AM

This years news from Marco Lang is the new jumping seconds movement.
This movement has a constant force escapement and anterograde date display.
What is "anterograde?  The date hand does not jump back to the beginning position, it jumps forward to the 1st of the month.
The movement is not built with the conventional German 3/4 plate, but with bridges and allows a full view.
The watch model is named "Konrad der Grosse".

Konrad der Grosse

König Johann

Friedrich August I.

Moritz von Sachsen

Hi, First of all, thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures. I really admire that cathedral hands and the dial....very beautiful in a very classic manner. Something that is much unusual compare to the offerings today. Their movement looks very interesting...

Nice to see something like this.

Much more "traditional" looking. And another constant force escapement? I hope this complication doesn't go the way of the tourbillon... I've noticed it getting popular this year, with a few brands tackling it.

Interesting looking pieces. [nt]
