I shot another clip, this time stopping the time at 5 mins to midnight before running it through. The hacking second feature allowed me to capture more accurately the date and month jump.

It seems like 15 seconds past midnight is all it needed to complete the transition.

enjoy.

Thanks Mech! The month is instant changing as well then

 By: ArthurSG : March 6th, 2010-02:04
as opposed to a gradual change which I first thought is what you meant. My bad.

Month indicator is instant too Arthur,

 By: Mech : March 6th, 2010-04:36
my bad too as my English wasn't 'ideal' haha. But if you look carefully, the month indicator 'glided' very quickly to '3', right about the same time when the date jumped. If the second hand indicator was accurate, these jumps happened within 30 secs after...

LOL! I think

Pateks are notoriously "gradual" in their change LOL.

Awesome video. Thanks for capturing the instantaneous jump

I noticed the secs was almost at 30 secs. Now the questions is, is there an instantaneous perpetual calendar that changes instantly at exactly 12:00:00am ? Cheers, Anthony

Blimey that was instant...............

I blinked twice and missed both the first showing and then the replay!! LOL

Not sure if it's possible as I'm searching for the same thing...

My Roger Dubuis does instant simulataneous jump for date, weekday and month BUT it doesn't happen precisely at 12:00 midnight. In fact, I'm talking to the manufacturer about the possibility of calibrating the piece to exactly midnight although some prelim...

Mech, totally cool! [nt]

As with Daos, the draw of this watch is getting stronger, not that it was ever weak in the first place.... Seeing that instant change of the date and month was a thing of wonder.

amazing, can't imagine human can create such wonderful device :-)

Why can't all perpetual calendars be instantaneous... I mean, at least be semi-instantaneous... Nice watch and great video!
