A wide range of Independents ...

As promised in my former post about "Hartding 1903 - ...", I will show you some selected watches.

Unfortunately the light was not the best and I was not the only one who wanted to have a closure look ...
But have a look what I managed to do ;-)

Let´s start with someone rarely shown: Stefan Kudoke

In fact I can´t remember if I ever saw one of his watches on PuristS, but maybe I am wrong. He is a very nice person and it was a pleasure to talk to him, for the first time.
His kind of products are special and very unique. Of course he is not the only one who makes watches like this - skeletonizing and hand engraving, but his are "affordable" smile
Stefan is not new in the industry and was working for big brands before, but he followed his passion and loves what he does.

If someone looks for individuality, here we go:

Second one is one of the most gentle but passionated person I met in the industry.
On top he is clever and smart and since 2012 a full member of AHCI: Marc Jenni

I like his vision, his (somehow) intelectual approach ... - together with very practical/convenient solutions.

Here we go with a ladies version (this time):

Third one is from the Dresden based brand: Lang & Heyne

One watch that I saw before, but didn´t get the beauty in the beginning. Never looked in detail, maybe because of the crown and the three lugs solution.
Moritz von Sachsen - the dial and the finish is a feast for the eyes, the full calendar is very well done, the day/night indication is interesting and the indication of the declination is superb and unique.

Will come back to that brand , with some pictures taken at their workshops, but so far enjoy:

Plus: Friedrich II, a simple three hands watch. A reduction to the essential was the aim. It shows the full Lang & Heyne DNA with all their attention to details.
The case is 40mm and looked very good on my wrist. On special request of a customer they offer it not only in precious metal. It is available in steel as well.
To be honest, I doesn´t work for me. It simply lacks the weight I expect from such a watch. I know, I know ... affordability could be a good reason for some, but not for me in that case.

Nonetheless it is a very special watch, even when it is simple. Lot´s of understatement and lot´s to enjoy for those who know smile

Last but not least a brand and a watch which was shown here quite often, recently: Habring²

Most of you already know the brand, the kind & genius people behind and their latest product - Doppel 2.0

To make it short: I love it and without lack of current watch budget, I would have placed my order immediately :-(

My personal favourite is the grey version and my favourite picture is the last one. The latter was taken by the men himself, Richard Habring, and yes it was him who offered to do it. Grey shoes, grey dial, grey strap ... he mentioned smile

At the end let me show you a very special prototype from Miki Eleta, realized by Paul Gerber. The complication shown is the brainchild of Miki Eleta and the base for further developments ...

The base for that prototype was an "old" Fortis, nothing more nothing less. I love to "detect" projects like this on the watchmakers wrists or in their pockets - especially in early stage.

Lucky me, I was allowed to take some pictures and to share them with you:

Hope you like what you have seen so far and I will go ahead when I find the time.

Oliver

Hi Oliver, When we spend much time on looking at watches here and there it becomes rare to discover new brands. I like quite much what I saw from L&H here (brand I heard of already but didn't take the time to look at). The Moritz seems to have a nice ...
