De Bethune ... some quick pictures from Basel 2013

Jun 22, 2013,11:24 AM

Most of the novelties I already saw in Geneva (January 2013) and Magnus & me reported about it here: ahci.watchprosite.com /

Nonetheless I had the pleasure to spent some quality time with the De Bethune "Family/Team" ... and on top I had the pleasure to take some pictures for you.

This time without "big words", but I thought some of you will appreciate it as well.

DB 25 LT Tourbillon with a gorgeous salmon dial ...

DB 25 Imperial Fountain - elaborately engraved animal heads for the 12 Chinese zodiac symbols ...

A feast for the eyes and especially on a gentlemanĀ“s wrist it looks superb.

The following pictures are not that good, but I wanted to show you all 12 pieces ...

Plus some more eye candy ...

Once more, the attention to detail at De Bethune is amazing - no matter which watch we are talking about.

Thanks!

Oliver

... I think it is "acquired taste" unlike their early ones like DB5, and I am now "acquiring it". There, I just said that! Is there a dealer (just to take a close look) in Japan? Ken

But here you gave us more to learn about. I didn't know the new Fountain was to be sold as a set! It really means again it is done in a "spiritaul" way and not just for "selling in Asia". Thanks Mo ;) Cheers, Mark

"It's more than enough!" I agree.

are still so incredible to look at Oliver. I particularly appreciate this whole Fountain set. By the way, the Mayan dial you shot is one I never saw before, Nice! I guess the Pt DB25TL is quite heavy, it's technically a very interesting addition to the co...

All the Mayan dials are different, after seeing the fountain watches the Mayan looks somehow flatter. You have to see this set, it's out of this world. Mo

Is this a mystery dial? I mean, the hour and the minute hands are hidden, on most of them. Niot fan of the decorum, even if the work is awesome, but I am totally in love with the concept! Best, and thanks for the post, Oliver. Nicolas

I will follow with some more info but in the meantime...

Yes,it's a misery hands sistem,a step further from the Mayan underworld. The hands seem to fluctuate on the dial, there is not a single hint of where the hands are attached, thanks to a sistem of ball bearings and disks....it's stunning to watch and trying ...
