Brief report from Volker Vyskocil
Or more specifically, from his brother Michael, with whom I have been corresponding every few months.
In his message, Michael concedes "Not much to write and again 4 months have passed - time trickles away..."
He also reports that Volker had to diagnose and remedy a problem with his milling machine, caused by a loose wiring connection -- which ate some more time.
All of that said, slow progress continues to be made. Volker is finishing the first set of PT cases, as shown in the photos below, which were taken on 8 October:
In true Volker style, he appears to have chosen the most difficult task (working PT, which is murderous on tooling) first, and to use a batch approach rather than just getting one or two watches delivered. We may or may not be able to influence him to change this, but at least we see a bit of progress still underway at this point.
Hope that's useful to everyone, especially those like myself who patiently await results!

Well...
...we will certainly have had enough time to let the dish cool! I continue to hope that Volker will push through to completion and make this fantasy story a reality for those who have supported him. Best, Gary G

Thank you very much, GG for your report. From your report, I understand he is still struggling with his work. To be honest, it was really surprising for me that he is still manufacturing the case because as long as l concern, my case was finished in 2004....
