Vianney Halter's Trio....

Nov 06, 2007,13:32 PM

Hi, all,

as promised the images of Vianney Halter's Trio - rose gold version.
I already had the opportunity to see one in the metall in Basel this year - that time a white gold version, but wasn't really
happpy with the pictures. This watch can look a bit boring in pictures, perhaps a bit "flat"......but don't know how to better describe it.

In fact it's really nice -to me  it has the charm of something technical, a vintage "measuring instrument",  perhaps a  "remote comtrol  of Jule Vernes time machine" smile or something like this.

I hope the pictures this time do the piece a bit more justice......

Best regards

Suitbert

Another incredible batch of photos, Suitbert. The Trio is a fantastic timepiece that, like Vianney's other creations and as has been brought up here before, is difficult to grasp from pictures alone. Your photography skills are fabulous. Thanks so much fo...

Thanks, Dom! -nt-

These are fabulous, Suitbert. Thanks so much for posting them. This brings back fond memories of trying the Trio on for size. It was like it was made for my wrist. Now, I just have to save a few pennies... bill

My pleasure, Bill,...

This is just my own view. I find Vianney atrue artist. In 1998, he puts out the very first watch that carries his name, the Antiqua, which is still in great demand and is still being made. In 2000, the Goldpfeil Camera watch, so difficult to grasp...and p...

I agree with most of your observations, Bernard, although it took me no time at all to fall completely heads-over-heels with the Trio. It is truly and equisite piece/ By the by, and sadly, Vianney has discontinued the Classic. There will be no real "entry...

Actually, Bill, Vianney had about 40 Classics remaining and I don't think they're all assembled yet. He mentioned how many cases of each material he had, but I don't recall the details. But of course you're right. When those 40 are gone, that's it for the...
