The new brand Maîtres du Temps has been initiated by Mr. Steven Holtzmann, its first watch is the Chapter One, a creation with the collaboration of Mr. Roger Dubuis, Mr. Peter Speake-Marin and Mr. Christophe Claret.

The Chapter One is a manual wind one-minute tourbillon with mono-pusher chronograph with retrograde date, retrograde GMT, with day of week and moon phase indicated on rollers.
 

The idea of Maîtres du Temps is to bring together outstanding watchmakers to develop and produce incredible timepieces.

This first watch was first conceived by Mr. Holtzmann and Mr. Dubuis 3 years ago, with the addition of Mr. Speake-Marins competence in design and project managment 2 years ago the project advanced to the point where Mr. Claret was added to the team one year ago to take on the production.

According to Mr. Holtzmann there are already 5 further projects in the pipeline for groups of top rate watchmakers to create exceptional new timepieces for the Maîtres du Temps.
 

The Chapter One includes interesting details like the 4 locking pushers that appear to be for the chrono, but the chrono is a mono-pusher through the crown.  The other 4 pushers are actually the correctors for the different displays, locking so they can not be changed accidentally.

This Chapter One  nr. 01 was working as shown.  It is expected that first deliveries will be begin in June 2008.
