This high beat Lord Marvel from 1968
Dec 04, 2015,10:54 AM
I have wanted one of these for a long time. It needs a new crystal and a full service. Even without a service it was +5s over 24 hours.
I shall fix it as soon as I get the crystal, gaskets etc.
Kind regards
Aditya

Not the latest but the frequent flier
By: KMII : December 3rd, 2015-12:02
It would not be the latest acquisition, in fact I got it last year. Still, it acompanied me as a daily wearer over large parts of the year and even if it finds its lace on the wrist less often now than in the first nine months of the year, it is still a p...

One of my highlights from 2015 was the GP Laureato from 1975. Why this one? It's a Quartz, how can I? But it's 1975 and in this time it was state-of-the-art. It has a "Chronometer" spec and boy it keeps time. On the second for weeks and weeks. It has a br...
Excellent find!
By: blomman Mr Blue : December 4th, 2015-06:34
I will try to hold off until I find the correct mechanical one... But if that fails - this quartz is a very good option! Best Blomman
Good plan
By: crown comfort : December 4th, 2015-06:37
but I believe the Quartz with all steel and this grey/blue dial is even harder to find than the 8010
Another watch for London :)
By: KMII : December 4th, 2015-23:18
I have been curious about these early quartz GPs. The precision you commented upon, how comfortable is the bracelet?
The bracelet is super-comfy
By: crown comfort : December 5th, 2015-03:26
and with the old bracelets you can adjust the length at the clasp in small steps.
Do not hesitate
By: crown comfort : December 5th, 2015-06:36
however, there are different dial and case versions. The blue/grey waffle dial with all steel case/bracelet is the one to get. There is also a flat, black dial in steel, which should be okay as well as the white waffle dial, but the gold/steel combos are ...
