Base metals for the 1900 caliber
Hello Nicolas .
The first series of watches equipped with the 1900 caliber were made on a brass base. Galvanized in three colors white rhodium, pink gold and yellow gold. For the new caliber 19 I chose to work with maillechort . Because this metal does not oxidize in the air throughout the duration of the work, this avoids many cleanings that I had with the brass. We both missed this one, but... our common good friend smartly caught this train... and missed his actual train later in the afternoon 🤣🤣
Nico: when was this watch produced?
I’ve seen photos of his recent offerings, and the finishing appeared to be a couple of echelons higher than what I see here. Perhaps this was an earlier piece Hussam
It was a slower train when I missed it years back
Then it became a bullet train I thought I would never be able to catch up until a very nice collector stopped his train for me recently.
I hope this time there won't be a train story
