I have always wanted a LF ever since I saw the tourbillon release 10 or so years ago (that's out of my budget). I love the dramatic finishing, the style, attention to detail. Last year I purchased a LF origin in the opaline dial. I loved it. I love the case and its shape, the dial, the hands, and that it was manual. Upon receiving the watch I was captivated, but as you alluded to, the blasted style of the movement has less panache than the micro rotor. As the year went on , I found I was not wearing the watch much. Simply other watches I would wear. Then when I thought about it, I decided it was because for a time only watch it was not the dimensions I prefer - I would want 38x9 or so, not 40x10.7. So with the dimensions not being quite what I wanted, not being worn (less than 10 times), and the finishing not what I wanted (again it is well finished, just more muted style), I decided to move on from the watch. I may add a microrotor at some point, but again, the dimensions see a little large for what I like. As far as time only, I am making a big effort to find the VC traditionelle 38 small seconds in platinum (which I just missed in stock, which is what I was looking for and ended up getting the LF). Possibly the VC 1921, but the breguet numerals with arabic numerals drives me a little crazy. All in all a fantastic watch, just depends what you need.
