My friends, I have drunk the kool-aid...

... and I'm as happy as a clam.
Today I proudly wear my very first independently made timepiece. I have always been the guy with a Rolex, or a Panerai, or whatever... but no more! I'm awestruck, thrilled, dazzled... hooked!
Habring2 Foudroyante
Behold my friends... Excalibur... okay, that's a little dramatic, I guess. But I cannot stop staring at my wrist with my new friend upon it. Note the sub-dial at nine o'clock. That's what they call a foudroyante - typically found on a stop watch or chronograph. Funny thing about this watch is that it is NOT a chronograph. And so, that sub-dial is actually graduated with eighths of a second and makes a full revolution every second. Totally amazing. Totally unique. Totally mesmerizing. Totally.
Habring2 Foudroyante - Other View
Supreme thanks to two awesome folks - Tim and Janna of Passion Fine Jewelry in Solano Beach, CA - for turning me onto this amazing brand and amazing rock star watchmakers, Richard and Maria Habring. I look forward to visiting Volkermarkt Austria to meet the Habrings in person and I encourage Purists everywhere to look at purchasing an independent as their next watch. This one normally comes with silver hands, but I asked for the hands to be black and that's what I got. Truth is, my face is starting to hurt from all this smiling!
And here's one more if I can figure out how to use this ding dang uploader once for all... ding dang it!
A little closer up...
