Wow!

Do people really want a solid gold Casio G Shock? Apparently, it seems there are at least a few bidders who want it!

Why?? Seriously, there must be some justification 🤔

 By: ArmisT : December 10th, 2023-17:35
And don’t tell me they were bidding to give more to charity, since they can do that better by giving it directly to the charity. So there must be something about the watch.

Babylon Bee ????

Am glad it all goes to charity. Should have been $1,000,000,000. Surely Stern has a spare billion to help others. Rather have an MB&F

Think about how rare this piece is:

We all know "piece uniques" from makers that produce a few hundred or thousand watches, but this is a piece unique from a legedary watch, that is being produced for decades and in millions. And in full gold, and yes, McGyver had one, and for charity. Tbh,...

LOL

I have collected some very limited Gs and there is a huge collector community especially in Japan who pay crazy prices for plastic and metal pieces. Not something which appeals to WPS but to many others out there...

But still, at this price???

 By: amanico : December 10th, 2023-22:32

yes, there have been some high five digit transactions also the years before all this hype

 By: penfriend : December 10th, 2023-22:53
and that were not 1/1 models. In 2019 there was a LE of 35 solid golden g-shock at about 65k. I tried to get one - no chance as they all went to Asia. Recently one sold via C24 at slightly more than 100k

Tsssssss, crazy...

You should change your POV...

A full-page of color ad in the Wall Street Journal National Edition will cost you $210,300. The exposure is HUGE. 600K of the printed paper, 3.5M on the digital one. that's a single newspaper. Imagine the exposure such a price for a G shock may achieve on...

Unfortunately true. (nt)
