All photos by V.L. Kong. PSM: Peter Speake-Marin PPro: PuristSPro Peter Speake-Marin has been a busy boy recently; he is literally "going around the world in 40 days" to meet partners, clients and investors. Peter has already visited a number of cities in...

it looks like you can't lose if you collect watches, irrespective of whether share prices go up or down. Assume PSM watches cost $10 each. Assume the block of shares cost $10. Then, as a Collectors' Club member, you are entitled to a 50% discount on the w...

I have great admiration for Mr. PSM.

Not only is he a master watchmaker, but an intelligent and sensible businessman as well. The Serpent Calendar is my grail. Hope to own it someday.

Ugg, cruel man...lol, but beautiful, thanks :) [nt]

Thank you, MTF for this interesting post!

I think Speake-Marin watches are some of the most beautiful timepieces being created today. They have an old-world feel to their construction which lends an air of romance IMO. I like that you can tell a PSM watch from across the room. It has a distinctiv...

Exceptional photography by VL Kong!

 By: tony p : September 3rd, 2009-02:36
...and congrats to PSM for the tour (in which I played a small part) as well as the Collectors' Club concept. Peter's determination to maintain control of his company is indeed perspicacious. His watches are so personal, so stamped with the singularity of...

Shareholder in a watch Company

 By: ling5hk : September 3rd, 2009-12:58
Wow, this is an opportunity to own (of course not control) a watch brand. MTF, will the investor/shareholder be appointed as a director? Is there a plan to increase paid-up capital in future? Regards Ling

email him....

think its better if you contact PSM yourself about his future plans, post this round of capital raising. It is a interesting way of raising capital for the PSM company and for collectors to own a PSM. note the discount is NOT for the 1in20 range, but the ...

Interesting to know - 4-pieces enamel dial for what?

 By: AlexKutkovoy : September 4th, 2009-09:03
Like the same question, regarding some companies watches - 3- or 4-tourbillon - for what? Enamel dial is the piece of art itself if it is mastered well, even if it is single-piece. Peter has (or had) superb enamel dials on Piccadilly and Shimoda... angry ...

Calm down there, buddy....

 By: MTF : September 4th, 2009-20:56
Alex, Perhaps something was lost in translation. The multi-part enamelling process is required to create the different levels and "windows" for the sub-dial displays (date, day, year, etc). Each part needs a firing sequence before the next part is painted...

Technically speaking - yes, estetically - no

 By: AlexKutkovoy : September 7th, 2009-04:44
Hi, MTF, Sorry I can not accept "chronometer-quartz" relation. It regards the technics. I here regard the estetics. From estetical point of view white enamel "part" to white enamel "base" adds nothing, only obvious explanations for the complexity of proce...
