Some more pics, as i'm now back home in Bangkok.
The sturgeon strap is excellent - it is indeed much stiffer and more substantial than 'usual'. Think of it as an English boot leather rather than a soft glove leather (! bit of an understatement ! ), initially I had to put it on one hole looser than it has now settled down to - and some showering and wearing helped beat it into submission. It is now comfortable, yet still reassuringly tough.
The back view.... I'd seen a pic of this milling on one of their prototypes and requested it, and so it was :-
Strapped on... the 'tucked under' design is one of those ideas which is hard to believe hasn't been done before, no need for keeper loops and all that malarkey
Some shots against some favourite japanese 'century' denim of mine - has a kind of seersucker feel to it
You can actually see the small dot on the seconds disk on this one
Here's the pouch i chose (they did have sturgeon also), but I chose an undid natural leather, and a 'spare' grey leather strap - with a proper pin removal tool too...
As you've seen above, you can always change your 'setup' as you wish - as far as colours go, the whole Pantone book is an option, along with all the Luminova colours. Go to their website and you can plenty of examples of other options, particularly related to metals and patination - they have a very attractive german silver option, with the hands etc patinated (so almost black) against the silver face. There's a one-off Rusted iron version...
Wonderful service, and i've found it a bit difficult to take it off my wrist and put on my old trusty Ventura V-matic.
My phone cannot take Macro shots, so you'll have to go their website to see detailed macro shots which show how they leave the milling marks - noticeable and lovely on the inside of the buckle for instance.
Watches of quiet genius and joy.
