Form and function…

Thanks Don,

It’s very exciting to see, at least for me, new and up and coming brands. I like the chronometer-style no-nonsense dials and movement architecture of these watches. The large balance wheels, rubies and open design – so you can really see what is going on – are all great.

They look quite thick in profile, and you mention “beautiful big watches”. Do you have the dimensions available? It may come down to appearance on the wrist and wearability, but the initial impressions are strong.

The constant force escapement chronometer really looks like it means business and I wish them the best of luck. Perhaps Fabrication de Montres Normandes will be the Brawn GP Formula 1 racing team of the Concours de Chronometrie? There is nothing like rooting for the underdog.

Regards

Andrew

And it's nice to see a back-to-basics approach to the dial & form, no see-through dials or ridiculous showiness. Also, most exciting is this constant force escapement- I can't wait to see what's under the hood here! Most interesting is the idea of a c...
