Having a blast ...

The Melbourne dinner starts in 45 minutes. Great to see the coverage from last night. I spent a few hours with Peter today and he is a great guy - and a true Purist when it comes to his watchmaking.

More coverage and an interview to follow ...

Thanks so much for coming, and I am glad that you had a good time. It was an enjoyable evening indeed, Peter Speake-Marin as charming and funny as he was when we met him last year. Unexpectedly, I found the new Thalassa quite different in the flesh to wha...

Look forward to your photos....

It helps that I don't usually work on fridays so I was able to put the photos together. Interesting that you were Tweeting Peter's wife whilst you were talking to Peter. Modern technology, huh. Regards, Richard.

Yes it was a happy coincidence that Daniela was online and on twitter at that time, so I thought that it would be fun to tell her what was happening. Gotta love modern technology I tweeted a little for those Melbourne guys on twitter who will be at Peter'...

It helps that I don't usually work on fridays. Let me know if you eventually get this camera format and I can let you know about these old cine lenses that I use. Regards, Richard.

Instantly recognisable...

Upon seeing it in person it immediately appeared distinctive and recognisable as a PSM watch, which I believe was Peter's intent. With the way my eyesight is, I find the seconds rotor a bit hard to read but that is not a significant concern. Its design is...

It has Peter's DNA

Hi Alex, peters's watches are very unique. You can see the progression from the picadilly to the thalasa but you know it is a PSM just like you can pick a Porsche 911 in the car park in its different variants over the years. The new manual movement which to...

I really like the new Thalassa!

Very unique, and stands apart from the crowd in a good way. I am hoping to meet PSM at some point, as I've long admired his watches. He's a rock star! Thanks for the coverage, Richard! I bet everyone had a grand time, and the food looked tasty! Cheers, Da...

Great night it was Daos...
