The crown is indeed a tad bit small, but still windable by all means. Also, the crown is actually made of platinum! A nice detail considering many platinum watches have crowns made of white gold.

It would have to be offset so that the stem could pass between the vertical pinions driving the 2 and 3 hour markers. Otherwise he would have to offset the hours. A side effect of putting the complicating on the back, I suppose.

and I have to say I was VERY impressed. First the complication is quite charming and impressive. Very high quality is seen and felt throughout. Also very nicely designed case for presence and comfort on the wrist. Could become a future purchase. Also look... 

that with a jumping hours watch you can feel the hours changing! I like the idea of this watch and of putting the complication on the bridge side (such as Jean-Marc Wiederrecht also often does) but find the watch somehow too "chunky". Can't wait to see wh... 

Hi Don, I tried out the watch for a couple of days, after buying it sight unseen after a sketch, within the subscription series, but could not feel the hours jumping. A couple refused to jump or too late, so that is why I am eagerly awaitig its return nex...

Never quite saw a piece such as this one. Very strange, very unique, and very original in idea (at least it is original to me, it is possible that this has been done many times before, but I just never noticed it). I certainly have enjoyed seeing this wat... 

I forgot to add that I really appreciate that the snail cam is showing in the movement. This snail cam enables me to see exactly how this "petite automaton" (a term that I am probably using incorrectly) watch is operating.

Simple, but it does tam Nd out in a very modest way.... The calibre is quite unique.... The crown made out of platinum... interesting..... Has he found a way so it does not brake off? (at least I thought that was the problem with other watches) Good luck ... 

I had the opportunity to see the Upside Down earlier this year on the wrist of a proud owner -- unfortunately, I had left my glasses in the car, so it was mostly a blur! Thank you for the wonderful report. Best, Gary G

Thanks. Really excited about it also. I purchased the watch at Cellini in NYC. Really enjoyed looking at a bunch of their more 'curious' watches and they brought the Ballouard over to me for a look. Wasn't even in the market for a new timepiece, but I gue...
