. . . but I'm even more impressed by the regulator dial layout. I have an unreasonable predisposition against regulators because the separation of the subdials rarely produces a coherent result . . . Kari's attempt is wonderfully homogenous, and appears as natural as the common co- or tri-axial layout. The aesthetic brilliance of the design is the employment of a raised sapphire minutes disc that integrates the hour and seconds subdials, which lends a linear perspective when reading time.
