Where does one begin?

First of all, these are 'only' pictures, so who can really know except those who have handled this piece.
But from pictures, I have these thoughts.
The fetishism of the movement has reached an over-the-top level.
It is so deeply, outrageously fetishistic, to do what Vianney has done, with the movement... it seems almost a new high, in the 'feeding' of the movement-obsessed/ movement-worshipping cult of collector.
I love watch movements. Yet these pictures still struck me as something more than love... it is really quite almost exploitational! yet of course it is exquisitely executed, so therefore is more than merely that.
I still can't really like the design, in a natural and intuitive way, I can and do marvel at it, as one usually does with Vianney.
It is definitely the sort of piece that makes a real conversation and starts a new way.
It's exciting to be here for this epoch!
I think of Haldimann of course, being a sort of spiritual kin to Vianney.
Also think of MB and F...
Those are my immediate impressions...... no doubt I'll ponder this object much, much more.
