Independents: De Bethune DB17

Hi all My DB 17 does not automatically change the date from 28to 1st today. It only change from 28 to 29. But when i wind to change the date, it automatically jumps to 1st .... I thought a perpetual calender watch will take care of this problem ? What could be wrong ? cheers, cheng
