The Habring2 Handwound & Automatic Time Only watch

The first of the in-house
Habring2 watches dates back to 2009 and features a manufactory movement based on the ETA -„Valgranges“ train gear, with bridges from in-house production. It can be had in either a handwound or an automatic version.
Time Only Handwound
The 'Time Only' comes with the typical 42mm case, here a ladies' version:
The small seconds hand has moved from the 6 to the 9 o'clock position.
The case is a bit conventional but is timeless and fits the overall design of the watch very well:
On the back the movement (Cal. A09M) can be admired:
It is equipped with a Chronometer-grade escapement and a Triovis fine regulator. The balance cock is skeletonised to enable better view on the movement's heart:
It also proudly showcases its Austrian descent:
At this point I'd like to make you aware that Habring2 offers two qualities of engraving upon request: hand-engraving (left watch) done by the engrave artist Florian Güller of Austria and machine engraving (right watch):
Hand-engraving (top) and machine (bottom), close-up:
Time Only Automatic
Based upon the same base movement as above, the Cal. A09 excels with with an in-house bi-directional automatic winding system (remember: the Valgranges is uni-directional):
As practical example I opted for Richard's gorgeous tri-toned model in white, silver and black:
The dial is lustrous and a real eye catcher:
The case also demonstrates how Habring2 conceptualised their idea of flexibility: same case, but different case back to accommodate the slightly thicker movement:
The back reveals the Cal. A09 with the in-house winding system:
Again, the same escapement, balance cock...
... and Austrian reference as the handwound model:
The watch is a pleasure to wear on the wrist and has a strong character:
