a really, really great review!

Your writing is fantastic - down to every point. and detail of the watch as a whole.
The photos are exceptionally well-chosen to illustrate the text - or even stand on their own right. I am only wondering if they were not over-enchanced by some photo-processing technique. In all the preious photos that I have ever seen of a Simplicity, obviously concentrating on the movement, it can be made appear as the piece of exquisitely refined horological jewelry that it actually is. Whereas yours reveal the lines, circles and curves of the milling if not in the actual finishing process (where?) More steampunk if you will - but that is exactly my direction!
It is all so well integrated into your user experience.
I have never had the privelege of winding - or even encountering - a Simpllicity, but my most pleasureable mornings with a manual-wind-only come from the Lange DS, anything but simple, followed by the PLM. Some of the other, even great simple time watches, not only hurt the skin on my fingers but actually hurt to wind. Even some x-day automatics.
Shake hands with a stranger, "You play rock guitar?". No I do manual labor - winding my watches every morning.
Away from the negative and back to the positive, and thanks ever so much for sharing your insights and owner's experiences. You can certainly do that!
