Last year I had the pleasure to see their watches for the first time. It was in January 2011, in Geneva. Some impressions from last year, first: (Couldn´t resist to create a background for my computer monitor, based on Guy´s pictures, afterwards ) As much...

A wonderful report, Oliver!

Thank you so much for sharing both your impressions and these great photos. I agree with you that the "language barrier" seems to vanish in many ways when interacting with Mr. Ferrier -- the passion is obvious! By the way, I was still reading when you sai...

Thanks a lot, Gary!

"the optical illusion splitting a single bridge into sections visually on the LF Tourbillon, and for me the finishing of the Tourb was a bit too Patek-like (clean, but not emotionally engaging) ..." Agree, but you should have a look at the Galet Micro-Rot...

Great job. Chapeau!

What a great company. Messieurs Laurent Ferrier, his son Christian, Muller, Babasini and Navas. What a team. I was very fortunate to meet them together a couple years ago when the Micro-rotor was just an image on a computer screen. Your photos do justice ...

Thanks!

.. for my favorite brand, where I MUST visit sooner than later. I am even more intrigued by the micro-rotor. What can I do to replenish the bank account quick enough? Damn! Ken

Thanks a lot, Ken!

It takes quite an effort to post such a wonderful report. And I always appreciate and respect your opinions. LF is on the verge of selling me a watch, but not quite there yet. Agree with Gary, there are some concerns regarding the bridge design of the Tou...

my friend and if you don´t mind "there are a small handful of other great watches in this category", which one do you have in mind Oliver

There are a few other great "simple" 3-hand independent watches

 By: tahoeblue : March 5th, 2012-14:41
that would compete in the same category as this LF. My favorites that come to mind are PD's Simplicity, KV's Observatoire and Vingt-8, FPJ's CS (especially love the black label), VH's Classic, and PSM's Thalassa. I prefer manual movments for most watches,...

This dark grey dial is terrific, it brings something more and I think it is my favorite version. The Galet Micro Rotor seems to be thinner than I thought, which is good. I must see it one day ... especially the back. Thanks for the high quality pics Olive...

It is a shame I didn't have the time to visit LF. Did you see any of the new dials for the Gallet automatic? I very much prefer them to the current dial. - SJX This message has been edited by SJX on 2012-02-26 21:02:58
