...thank you for bringing that piece to us. It felt like the beginning of a conversation that could go on for hours.

The tip of the iceberg is impressive enough; the balance of the collection would be a sight to behold. Hopefully your shy subject will keep his promise and let us see the commissioned watch that is sufficiently special to represent the culmination of an interest in Independents to someone whose taste is so clearly refined.

It's always interesting to read other collectors' viewpoints on their collecting philosphies. Watches from Independents aren't really that "rare" when attending PuristS gatherings but are "rare" when comparing to the general public. And so, for me persona...
